WHEREAS, there are over 700,000 medically uninsured Coloradans, and

 

WHEREAS, the efforts by the insurance industry have been ineffective in controlling the increasing cost of health care and covering the uninsured, and

 

WHEREAS, Congress has been equally as ineffective as the insurance industry, therefore be it           

 

Resolved, that current CMS Policy 185.998 Health System Reform, Section (12) Ð Reimbursement and Multi-Payer System be amended as follows:

 

The CMS supports equitable and uniform resource-based relative value fee schedules for reimbursement by all payers. The CMS supports comprehensive health care reform that may include consideration of a multi-payer system, a single payer system and all other options.
