WHEREAS, there is no standard level of reimbursement that is adequate to cover the “practice expense” and “malpractice” components of an RBRVS-based fee schedule, and

RESOLVED, that the Colorado Medical Society encourage all third party payers to set a uniform and adequate level of reimbursement for the “practice expense” and “malpractice” components of any RBRVS related fee schedule used, negotiating primarily on the “physician work” component so that targeted discounts sought will affect all specialties equally.
