WHEREAS, physicians are providing more care management over the telephone and via electronic mail without being compensated for their time, and
WHEREAS, physicians are not adequately reimbursed for services performed after-hours, on evenings and weekends, in the patientŐs home, at the nursing home, in an urgent care setting, or patient counseling services, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Colorado Medical Society work to achieve
adequate levels of compensation for such primary care work as telephone or
other electronic care management, home care management, nursing home care,
after-hours, evening and weekend services, urgent office care, counseling and
similar poorly compensated services.
