Subject: Board of Medical Examiners Disciplinary Actions

WHEREAS, the Board of Medical Examiners (BME) regularly administers disciplinary actions against physicians and CMS does not know about such actions until they are published in the BME quarterly update, and

WHEREAS, CMS does not take action on BME disciplined physicians, and

WHEREAS, one goal of CMS is promulgating the integrity of physicians in Colorado, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Board of Medical Examiners work to provide CMS with written notice of all disciplinary actions taken against any physician in Colorado, regardless of current membership status, as they occur, and be it further

RESOLVED, that CMS temporarily suspend membership of any physician who has had actions taken against them by the Board of Medical Examiners.
