Subject: Use of Consent Calendar at House of Delegates Meetings

Referred to: Reference Committee on Board of Directors/Constitution & Bylaws/Credentials

WHEREAS, after thorough debate in the Reference Committees, many of the reports and resolutions do not require further debate on the floor of the House, and

WHEREAS, it is often difficult for the members of the Reference Committee to know what the House of Delegates (HOD) will consider warranting further debate, and

WHEREAS, the Speaker and Vice Speaker continue to seek ways to increase the effective use of time of the HOD, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the entire report of the Reference Committee will be placed on the Consent Calendar with items of business grouped together according to the committees' recommendations, and be it further

RESOLVED, that members of the House of Delegates can extract any item of business from the Consent Calendar for vote by the House.
