WHEREAS, the Workers' Compensation/Personal Injury Committee is involved in legislation regarding auto insurance as well as Workers' Compensation, and
WHEREAS, this policy was initiated when the state was under auto no fault and is now under auto/tort, and
WHEREAS, the existing policy is restrictive and limits the ability of the Workers' Compensation/Personal Injury Committee to consider the use of the Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule to control costs in the current auto/tort system, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Policy 280.997, Use of Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule for Auto Injury Payments, stated below be deleted:
The Colorado Medical Society
opposes the use of the Colorado Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule for medical
care rendered as the result of non-work related automobile accidents.
