What is the CMS Disaster Preparedness Community?

This site has integrated many tools to help community members connect with each other.  CMS Disaster Preparedness Community acts as a “one stop shop” for physicians by providing up-to-date news, resources, calendar of events as well as discussion boards and email.

About this project

The Colorado Medical Society, in collaboration with 10 component and two specialty societies, has contracted with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to coordinate disaster preparedness, planning and response activities for physicians. The goal is to assure that every Colorado physician understands what would happen in the event of a disaster such as a flu pandemic and has developed and practiced a plan for his or her individual, practice and community response to such an event.

The site is designed for use by Colorado physicians.

Physician login instructions:
Your username is the first letter of your first name, first letter of your middle name followed by last name (lower case).  Your password is your Colorado medical license number.
Ex: John A. Smith
Username: jasmith
Password: 123456

After the initial log-in, you may change your password by clicking on 'My Profile' then 'Change Password'.
