Evidence-based Medicine
One of the Colorado Medical Society's goals is ensure that each and every Colorado patient receives the right care, at the right time, every time. This focus on evidence-based medicine plays out through a number of strategic initiatives that seek to provide physicians with the information and educational tools they need to participate fully in current and future system changes.
Continuing medical education is a key component to this work. CMS is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as an accreditor of continuing medical education (CME) providers. Learn more about CME in Colorado here.
Collaborative Quality Improvement Project (CCQIP)
The result of an innovative collaboration between Colorado Medical Society, the American Medical Association and United Health Group, the Colorado Collaborative Quality Improvement Project (CCQIP) is an out-of-the-box approach to reducing treatment variations and improving quality and efficiency. This voluntary effort has garnered national attention as it seeks to reduce unwarranted variation in care in targeted physician specialties including general surgery, ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology and gastroenterology.
