How to use the Basecamp forum (more detailed instructions in "files")

  • Use the form to opt-in to the COVID-19 CMS-member physician discussion board on Basecamp
  • After opting in, you will receive an email invitation from Basecamp instructing you to set up a Basecamp account or log in; contact Kate Alfano, CMS Communications, if you experience any issues
  • Click on the title, “Coronavirus (COVID-19) CMS-member physician discussion board” to view; discussion threads are in the middle of the page 
  • Critical when starting a new discussion thread is to choose the third option, “Don’t email anyone, just post the message to Basecamp,” or when commenting on an existing discussion to deselect all before posting your message – to limit the number of emails participants receive; also note that replying to a Basecamp email automatically emails everyone
  • Set your email preferences by selecting “me” from the top of the browser window, then selecting “Your Basecamp settings,” then personalizing your email frequency (either “Email me about each item right away” or “Email me a summary every few hours at most) and other email options (“Email me a Daily Recap every morning”)
