The evening before the annual meeting of the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the consortium's Provider Education Work Group will host an educational symposium on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Consider submitting an abstract for a poster session that highlights one of the following related to the opioid crisis in Colorado:

  • Research
  • Quality improvement plans in your medical practice
  • Educational initiatives
  • Advocacy around opioid issues/policy changes in your community
  • Other interesting programs or projects that you would like to highlight!

While posters will be displayed during an event targeted at medical providers, any any individual, program, or organization (e.g. state or local public health, community coalitions, pharmacists, wellness organizations) addressing the opioid crisis in Colorado may submit an abstract. This is an opportunity for all to share their work with colleagues from around Colorado.
The posters will be displayed during the annual meeting the following day in order to highlight in greater detail some of the happening around the state.
More details about this educational symposium will be forthcoming.
The deadline for abstract submissions is Sept. 6, 2019 at 5 p.m., with notifications going out by Sept. 27, 2019. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. While there is no specific format requirement, please be concise in explaining purpose, any applicable methodologies, results and conclusions.  Abstracts or questions should be emailed to
