Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine: Vaccine advisers to the US Food and Drug Administration will meet Friday (Feb. 26) to discuss whether to recommend Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use authorization. Approval of this vaccine is expected from The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) this weekend (Feb. 27+28). Based upon approval(s), Colorado is expected to receive 45,000 doses of this vaccine next week. The distribution process for this vaccine follows the same schedule as Pfizer and Moderna. All allocations received in week one will be distributed to be administered in week two.

Phase 1B.3 update: People eligible in Phase 1B.3 (Frontline essential workers and people age 16-64 with two more high risk conditions) can expect to have the opportunity to begin scheduling their vaccine in early March, possibly as soon as next week. More information on when Phase 1B.3 will be available next week.
