Co-hosted by the Aurora-Adams County Medical Society, Colorado Medical Society, Colorado Physician Health Program, Denver Medical Society, Denver Medical Society Foundation, Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society (ADEMS) and COPIC.

Please join us to learn about physician workstress syndromes of burnout and malpractice stress, understand several methods for managing physician work stress, and be aware of the scope and type of Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP) services available.

Speaker
Michael H. Gendel, MD has served as the Medical Director Emeritus of Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP) since 2009. Dr. Gendel served as Medical Director from 1999 to 2009 and served as Associate Medical Director between 1989 and 1999. He provides oversight of assessment, referral, and monitoring functions to physicians with health concerns. In addition, Dr. Gendel is the past president of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs (FSPHP). He has authored several articles on physician stress and physician health and illness and has been an active speaker on these subjects throughout Colorado, nationally, and internationally. He has also chaired the Physician Health Research Planning Group, a national work group that promoted physician health research.
