About Colorado Chooses Vaccines

Colorado Chooses Vaccines is a broad, statewide coalition of healthcare providers, public health leaders, and community organizations working together to protect vaccine access and trust. The Colorado Medical Society joined the coalition in October 2025.

At a time when federal guidance is unpredictable, and misinformation spreads quickly, we’re uniting to ensure Coloradans can count on clear, science-based information and reliable access to the vaccines that keep our communities healthy.

Our coalition focuses on:

  1. Response to federal action, monitoring federal policy changes and rapidly translating their implications for Colorado.
  2. Strong state policy and advocacy that protects access to vaccines and defends against efforts to weaken the immunization system.
  3. Clear, coordinated communication that helps Coloradans get trustworthy information, addresses misinformation, and elevates voices of trusted messengers across the state.

Together, we will strengthen the systems that make vaccination simple, safe, and accessible for Coloradans of all ages.

We are facing a critical moment. Federal agencies are promoting vaccine misinformation—including false claims linking vaccines and autism—contradicting decades of scientific research. At the same time, measles, pertussis, and other vaccine-preventable diseases are on the rise and vaccination rates are declining.

Colorado Chooses Vaccines brings together experts and community voices to provide clarity amid national uncertainty. We support providers, respond quickly to policy changes, share easy-to-use educational tools, and make sure Colorado continues to follow evidence—not politics—when it comes to keeping people healthy.

We’re supporting a Colorado where patients can trust the information they receive, providers can rely on clear standards, and communities stay protected from preventable illness.

Colorado Chooses Vaccines invites partners from every corner of the state—schools, hospitals, businesses, faith communities, families, and more—to join us. When we stand together for science and health, Colorado stays strong.
