CMS Annual Meeting – Sept. 18-20, 2026
Join colleagues from across Colorado in beautiful Vail for the Colorado Medical Society’s Annual Meeting, Sept. 18–20 — an experience designed to reconnect, recharge, and refocus on what matters most to physicians.
The meeting will feature timely education on issues shaping medical practice today, plus a Saturday night celebration honoring CMS members with dinner and entertainment. Don’t miss unforgettable speakers:
- Jerome Adams, MD, MPH, FASA, a former Indiana State Health Commissioner and the 20th U.S. Surgeon General, currently serves as Executive Director of Health Empowerment Initiatives and the Center for Community Health Enhancement and Learning (HEAL) at Purdue University. During his tenure as surgeon general, he was a key member of the President’s Coronavirus task force and therefore at the forefront of America’s most pressing health challenges. A regular communicator via TV, radio, and print, Dr. Adams is an expert not just in the science, but also in communicating the science to the lay public and making it relevant to various audiences.
- Andrew Crim is the Director of Education and Professional Development for the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Fort Worth, Texas, and vice president at the Alliance for Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions. He is passionate about AI implementation in physician practices, making technology work for you in the most practical and efficient ways.
- John D. Lantos, MD, is a pediatrician and internationally recognized leader in medical ethics. He is a former Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago and the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine, where he also directed the Children’s Mercy Hospital Bioethics Center. Dr. Lantos has led major NIH- and PCORI-funded research initiatives and previously co-chaired the PCORI Clinical Trials Advisory Panel. He is a prolific author and past president of leading bioethics and health law societies, with current research focused on the impact of genomics and AI on medical practice.
- Tracee Metcalfe, MD, a Vail physician and world-class mountaineer — the first U.S. woman and third American to summit all 14 of the world’s highest mountains — will share her extraordinary climbing journey alongside her powerful path to recovery through Colorado’s Physician Health Program.
This is your opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, earn valuable education, and strengthen connections with peers in an inspiring mountain setting.
